Lodz Special Economic Zone is not only for big international companies. Small and medium- sized enterprises can also successfully start their activity within the Zone.

A special offer has been prepared for SMEs. There are small areas (from 0,5 ha) available in Lodz subzone, on the border of Lodz and Konstantynow Lodzki. The sites are not only perfectly located and communicated, but also equipped with the necessary utilities. Small and medium-sized enterprises that would like to invest within Lodz Special Economic Zone can count on the state aid in the form of significant tax allowances, even up to 70% of the costs of starting the business or two-year costs of newly-employed people.

To get a permit to invest within Lodz Special Economic Zone, SMEs need to invest at least €100.000 and maintain their business activity and declared level of employment for at least 3 years. The conditions are stricter for big companies. They can obtain the state aid only up to 50% of their costs. They must also run their business activity within the Zone at least 5 years.

56% of companies operating within Lodz Special Economic Zone are small and medium-sized enterprises. Almost half of the fund invested in the Zone is Polish.
